Battlefield 6 stores its config files at %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings on Windows. That folder holds the settings rather than a save: keybinds, sensitivity, video options, the layout you arranged. Checkpoint64 already knows it, backs it up automatically and keeps every version, so a config that got reset is one click from restored.
Where Battlefield 6 settings are stored
- Windows —
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings
How to open the config folder
- Windows — press Win+R, paste
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings, and press Enter.
Backing up Battlefield 6 settings automatically
- Install Checkpoint64 (free) and pick Battlefield 6 — the config path above is already preset.
- Auto-backup watches the folder and uploads a new version whenever it changes, keeping full history.
- Restore any version in one click after a patch resets your settings, a file verification restores the defaults, or you move to a new PC.
